This activity is to support Mediterranean Partner Countries in strengthening and aligning national regulatory frameworks for tackling plastic pollution, promoting sustainable alternatives and eco-innovation, in line with circular economy principles, regional commitments, and emerging international policy directions.

This activity is to to support Mediterranean Partner Countries in enhancing the implementation of harmonised marine litter monitoring Programmes for all matrixes and to contribute to more effective reporting and mitigation measures aligned with the Regional Plan on Marine Litter Management under the Barcelona Convention.

This activity is to strengthen the capacity of PCs by reviewing and showcasing concrete WEFE Nexus approaches in agriculture from Northern Mediterranean countries, with a focus on non-conventional water resources (NCWR), smart and efficient irrigation, renewable energy integration in agriculture, and on the governance, institutional, regulatory, and financing arrangements, that have enabled successful implementation, operation and scaling-up at the WEFE Nexus approaches.

This activity is to strengthen the capacity of Partner Countries to plan, prioritise, and implement effective flood and stormwater adaptation measures under Mediterranean conditions, through the review of international good practices, development of practical guidance, and regional knowledge exchange.
