This activity is to support the Tunisian Government in reviewing and improving the regulatory framework governing the ban on single-use plastic bags (Decree No. 32 of January 16, 2020). This approach aims to adapt the regulations to strengthen their application, remove identified obstacles and propose legal and financial mechanisms to facilitate the ecological transition of manufacturers in the plastics sector towards sustainable alternatives. In parallel, the activity aims to refine the roadmap to extend measures to reduce and, if possible, ban other single-use plastic packaging in Tunisia.

This activity is to contribute to improving the climate resilience of agricultural systems in a pilot area, by developing concrete adaptation strategies for strategic crops (cereals and olive trees), based on identified vulnerabilities, available local resources, and existing knowledge, and by training technical actors to support their implementation.
