WES-BCA held an online regional consultation meeting (15/09/2026) on the preparation and promotion of a Strategy for WEFE Nexus in the Mediterranean Source-to-Sea Continuum and its Action Framework, with the participation of all WES-BCA Focal points and key partners.
This was part of a regional dialogue advanced by WES-BCA Project through its activity in cooperation with GWP-Med and in synergy with other regional partners and processes, including those of the UfM and UNEP/MAP.
This dialogue would definitely foster action planning, promote synergies and facilitate the exchange of experience.
This consultation meeting is actually the continuation of the WES Regional Roundtable (Dec. 2024), during which the findings and recommendations prepared by the WES project on the Private Sector Engagement for Climate Change Adaptation in the Mediterranean were validated.
A Regional Conference on the subject will follow at the Cairo Water Week (October 2026 - co-organised with the EU Delegation in Egypt and UfM), and then a concluding online consultation event to define the roadmap of follow up activities in 2027.
